Book Talk Question # 2

What is the setting of your story and how does it compare to the setting in which you live? What is similar? What is different? Do you think the setting will change drastically throughout your book? What will be the different settings? Make a prediction.

  1. The settings in my life and the book are completly diffrent. The settings in the book is on a boat and on an island i think they will change at the end of the book because i think they will be back at there houses. I live in a house in a city.

  2. The setting is on a ship that's sinking. The setting is similar to where I live because I live by the Pacific Ocean and there is a lot of boats. What different is that Prince Rupert doesn't have boats sinking. I think the setting will change because the boat is sinking and it will go under the sea and the kids will probably swim to an Island.

  3. The setting in my book is in the Pacific Ocean. They are on a boat. I am living in Prince Rupert. Prince Rupert is by the Pacific Ocean and we have a lot of boats around. What is diffrent is that not a lot of boats sink in the Pacific. Yes I think they are going to have a shipwreck or sink and go to an Island. The diffrent setting is that they are going to be on land not in the water and that they are not on the boat. My Prediction is they might fix the boat but the boat will go to an Island because there was a shipwreck

  4. The setting in my story is on a sailboat and I really think being on the ocean is a lot more different than where I live. I do live near water though. I think the setting will change drastically throughout my book because I know they will be shipwrecked, and currently, they are on a boat. So they will be on water but they will end up on land because they will get stuck on an island.

i think the book seting is like in rupert because it takes place in the pacific.it is simaler because it is on the pacific. its diferent because it is in the tropicks. i think the seting will change because they are on a boat but are going to end up on island i think. my prodiction is that they are going to end up on a island and build a hut to sleep and in a cupel years they will start to get maried and have kids and start a new population of people then get money start up a comunity and get rescued by by cost gard.

  7. I think the setting in the book and in real life is very similar because the book takes place on a boat and there is a ocean right beside prince rupert and the boat is on a ocean but the setting is all most the same when i went fishing because it was a boat and it on the ocean

  8. The setting of island is that there are six children sent to a boat in the Pacific Ocean to learn discipline. It's either that or jail. Luke is pretty much the ledder and the most sensible amongst the group. He was sent to the Pheonix because he was accused of having a gun at school. Lyssa and Will were sent to the Phenoix because they had so many fights and arguments over stupid things(Once they almost killed eachother) and would never get along. The setting of My life is that we have a ocean and we have a little bit of the pacific ocean mixed with what ever ocean we have around our Island but luke and the others live on a boat and i live in a house. The similsr thing is that they sleep on a bunk and me and my sister sleep on a bunk bed as well. The different thing is that Mr.Radford is bossing them around and they say he is mean and nasty and there are only six children on that boat and two men.

  9. The setting of the book is that six children are sent to a boat in the Pacific Ocean to learn discipline. It's ether that or jail.Luke is pretty much the leader and the most sensible amongst the group. He was sent to the pheonix because he was accused of having a gun at school. The book is a little bit like real life and some people go on boats and go out to sea for a trip and we live on land and some people live on boats or on a desert Island.Yes i think that the setting will change throughout the book will i read through the book.I think the 6 kids are going to be stuck on a desert island and sleep on the ground or there wearked ship but i think they will starve and get dry from not having anything to drink.
